Office 2021 & 2024 KMS Keys

The school is still using Office 2019 LTSC so I am rolling out Office 2024 LTSC but some users still need Publisher. For those users I have installed 2021 LTSC. I have installed the 2024 KMS key and those using Office 2024 activate fine but those

using Office 2021 do not activate. I have tried ospp.vbs /act but the command errors saying no KMS service can be found.

 

I thought using the KMS key for latest version of office would activate earlier versions like Windows does. Do I need to install the KMS key for each version of office?

The answer to this question is each version of Office needs it's KMS key adding using the appropriate volume license pack.

It isn't included in LTSC 2024.
