DeeGee Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Our Finance Manager has just come in and asked if we really have to send letters to parents every time there's a census to confirm information. We're doing this now across six sites, you see. It's something we've done as long as I've been doing this job. I can't find anything that says I have to. Can we just use normal updates across the course of the year to keep our data up to date? Or do we have to keep asking.
sharonj Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I've never done it specifically for the census but I do send out 1 data checking sheet a year and then just update throughout the year as and when parents ring in.
Banjo Posted May 22, 2017 Author Posted May 22, 2017 Nope, do this once a year at most. Put the details forms on the schools website and a notice in the school newsletter (if you email one out) so parents can amend details as necessary.
