CAM Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Been asked a question by the DH that's stumped me. He says that if a student is doing a 2-Year Linear A-Level and drop it, they get an automatic U grade. I presume this is for students showing as withdrawn on the census. So he wants to place borderline students on an AS course instead which will show up as transferred on the census. Will this result in an automatic U as well on the linear course? Either that or change them to AS and backdate it to the start of term (which is technically still accurate as they haven't changed class, they are still being taught the same course materials in the same classroom but being assessed differently).
bobsmith Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I can't see how this would work, aren't A-Levels still being entered with the exam board near the end of the course? How can they issue a Certificated U grade to a student they know nothing about?
