DfE Secure Access credentials

Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, my role is quite a broad one.

 

Obviously, for many reasons, I, and certain colleagues, need to go into the DfE Secure Access site.

 

When I started in my current role, it was easy, I had a login linked to my email address and could get on.

 

You can only have an e-mail address linked with one account.

 

Then we took over another school, I was given an alternative e-mail address, so could set up an account for that school too.

 

Now we've taken on two more schools, and there's talk of more. I don't want to have an email account for all the schools we take over, but Assessment is done centrally by me for all four establishments.

 

Do any others of you work in a MAT with data done centrally? How have you worked around this problem? It's the same for personnel - done by the MAT on behalf of the other establishments, so only one e-mail contact.

Regardless of how many e-mail addresses you have got it is entirely up to you which one of those you would like to use. You don't need to use them all. You can setup a forward rule for your e-mails.

 

On the subject of DfE secure access you can go into the settings and changes which e-mail is used for each account. Which means that you can reuse the same e-mail address which is what I do for 2 schools.

If I input an email address a second time, the website tells me that it has already been used, and won't allow me to save my changes. Therefore I thought I needed a different address for each site.

Please accept my apologies I was wrong . I just double checked mine and yeah we are using different e-mails.

So the only option really is one address per establishment?!

 

We can work that way, but it's a shame there's no alternative.
