CAM Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I found this whilst looking for information on what I am supposed to be doing in September (I don't feel very well prepared at the moment!) https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/404003/2015-02-13-timeline-of-gcse-reforms.pdf Am I right in thinking: - This coming September (15) we track y10 English and Maths with the 1-9 scale and Y11 using A*-G? - The following September (16) the new Y10s all but a few leftover GCSEs use 1-9 whilst Y11 stay as they were last year? - By September (17) everyone will be on 1-9?

I'm just as unprepared and it looks like the summer will be taken up with creating new marksheets and converting historical data to the new grade sets. In addition, Legacy GCSE Point Scores will be changing. AmandaLambert Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 The only bit I would add is although the new Yr11 grades will be A*-G, I believe the points behind the grades will be 8-1 (not 58-16)

(Hopefully my notes help the equally confused) Sep 2015 - A*-G new version with 2016 points scale. - 1-9 (ENG MATH) new aspects with 2016 points scale. Sep 2016 - 1-9 with 2016 points scale new version for ENG MATH plus new aspects for everything else (except DT) updated to 2017 points values (Or will the DfE insist on the old scales for Y11?). - A*C updated with new version for 2017 points value Sep 2017 - A*-C retired at end of Academic Year for DT which gets a new 1-9 aspect for Y10.
