jmcq555 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 so the scoring of grades in P8 will go G=1 to A* = 8 Does anyone know how set in stone this is or if it could change?
gazskeltz Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I hear rumours that there will also be a Grade 9 (A*+ or A**)?? Also, U will be 0. This makes sense in a way. Calculating average Value Added when U was so many points away from G made some interesting numbers! Anyway, in answer to your question, ask me again this time next year after the election... Regards Gary
Seb1780 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 I think there are both 1-8 AND 1-9 scales that will be in use by the time we get to 2017! The 1 - 8 scale is being applied to P8 as @jmcq555 said; the 1-9 scale will come in with the revised GCSE's (En & Ma initially) in 2017. How we fit both scales together when, from 2017, we will have both 1-9 and G - A* grades operating is a mystery as yet!
jmcq555 Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 thanks everyone. agree about U dragging the numbers down
