Afternoon Everyone,

 

Hopefully you already have access to the http://tableschecking.education.gov.uk website. If you don't, your headteacher will have received a letter with a username and password last week.

 

By the end of next week you need to go through the listed students on the KS4 and remove any student that shouldn't be included in your performance tables:

 

 

• Any student that came to the UK from a non-English speaking country within the last two years: - Check your when your Eastern European students arrived (unless they are going to give a +ve VA)
  
• Any student who was PX'd from another school. - They don't belong on your figures - They will go onto the original school (sorry).
  
• Anyone who has immigrated - Self Explanatory BUT any student who has left to be educated on a foreign military base (i.e. US bases in England), don't select this use "Other".
  
• Deceased
  
• Pupil not at the end of Key Stage 4 - any student who has been held back in Yr10, usually SEN students, - THOUGH these students will be in the next year's figures NO MATTER WHAT.
  
• Left school before exams - The DFE will require evidence about this
  
• Other - (see the immigration option) or any other reason to try remove students. - Give as much information as possible to justify - the [email protected] helpdesk who run the site are VERY GOOD at checking and getting back to you about which reasons the DFE will accept.
  

 

This will reduce the size of your cohort which may improve your KS4 results.

But you only have until the end of the week.

This has just landed on my desk today! Love it when we get lots of notice for these things.................. (especially as I wasn't given a username and password for the website when i took the job over)

For your students who joined within the last two years from a non-english speaking country, try to get hold of their passport and stamp (if Non-EU). You may be asked for evidence of their arrival into the UK.
