Apple Wireless Keyboard & Mouse before booting into OS

Hi there,

 

I have had my iMac for a few weeks now and I love it! As a result of this I am going to purchase a Mac Mini to use as a media centre. To get the best of both worlds I will be using bootcamp with Windows. With my iMac I have a standard wired keyboard & mouse so I can’t test this, but for the media centre I will be purchasing the Bluetooth keyboard & mouse. My question is how does this work before you boot into the OS? For example when you hold in ALT while booting to either pick Windows or OS X. Will it work?

The apples ones do work during boot. I've not tried any others, so far all the macs I use only have wireless. Sometimes wired is needed, but the only one i've found is after installing os x server as it turns bluetooth off after install.
