Laptops - Easily Serviceabe, Cheap, Amazing, W11 Compatible

Hey all. It does look like I want the world from these from the title! We're pondering a trolley of Windows laptops for the students, and my worry is the usual one of "wear and tear" from the life they'll have with students. Must be simple enough to strip down and replace parts.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations given the above criteria? Oh and they also can't be too expensive.

 

Chromebooks are out of the question. Or rather, chromebooks will actually be my favourite ultimate solution to the project but as far as this topic goes I'm exploring W11 laptops.

I'd be inclined to say to get some refurbished Lenovo Thinkpads or Dell Latitudes. They're generally relatively robust and they have good service manuals. Anything 8th/9th gen i5 or above should be OK.

Just don't go near the Lenovo V series.

If you can get decent pricing the HP Elite/Probooks are easy to service and also have all service procedures available in writing or on videos provided by HP. (thanks, right to repair!)

Refurbs are definitely great value for money, then you can spec up and get something more robust than you might usually be able to afford. Just make sure that if new batteries are provided, they should be OEM quality and not 3rd party like 2-Power. (guaranteed spicy pillows)

Lenovo Yoga 300w - decent laptops for students general use, stands up to daily use and comes in at a decent price point... if you can get a Lenovo partner to work with as well they can get decent deal reg pricing.
