Cannot delete file

I've got a couple of files and folders in pupils home directories that will not delete and are causing a problem with backups.

 

The files and folders in question are 0 bytes in size and whenever I goto delete them I get "Cannot delete file: cannot read from the soure or disk" error.

 

First of all I was thinking some sort of permission problem but when you go into the properities of the folder there is no security tab!

 

I also tried deleting them using the command prompt, same problem.

 

Any ideas?

People tend to get that allot in user folders, luckily this year when i archived them today i didn't have one.

 

There is some software to sort them out but for the life of me i can't think of its name!

Unlocker is a really good tool. I've used the ancient looking delinvfile successfully in the past too.
