MrGill Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 Good Afternoon, Im having an issue with our backups. Whilst i dont think it related to Veeam, that is the program we use for running our backups. The error I get is: Task failed. Failed to expand object 'server name'. Error: Host 'host name' either not a cluster or cluster services is unavailable. Ive done some reading and i think my next step is to restart the Cluster service on our host. From what i can see this may cause some issues on the network if not done properly. Does anyone have any advice on what i need to do in order to do this properly or if its needed at all. thanks
TheRobins Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 Yes, you would loose the cluster whilst it restarted. However, there are some posts on here regarding Veeam having issues with windows server at the moment, https://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/241340-veeam-server-grinding-halt.html I use Veeam (latest version) on server 2019 fully updated and not seen any issues as of yet.
