Biometric reading is taken and registered but dosen't work when the finger is produce

Hi

 

Our staff had difficulty taking the biometric reading of a student and finally, they registered the biometric of the thumb.

But when the student produces the thumb on the reader it is not recognising. Therefore the staff deleted the biometric reading and registered the index fingers instead , but when the student puts the index on the biometric reading it doesn't read .

 

Not sure what could be the problem.

Any help is much appreciated.
