Been a long time since I read the story, but I remember it as being one of GRRM's wistful, sad tales rather than Resident Evil in The Lost Lands. Still, good to see a non-GoT GRRM work being adapted. IIRC since he hit big there's only been "Nightflyers", which was very disappointing. Looking on IMDb he only has more GoT stuff in the pipeline (obviously not including finishing a book!). At one stage his "Wild Cards" shared universe (kinda a rationale for superheroes) was supposed to be coming to TV. I guess they worked out it would be too expensive.
