petben Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Hello, when we get new devices I want to 'reset' them without having to go through the initial wizard to get to Windows. During OOBE I can press Shift/F10 to get command prompt and the Internet says to run: systemreset -factoryreset but that doesn't exist. There must be a way to reset via command line?
Olliedawg Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I've just tested this on a Windows 11 24H2 machine - command not recognised. Quick google search shows others are reporting "systemreset.exe" is missing from 24H2
MrEprise Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I found a Twitter... sorry, X post that suggests you can also run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\SystemSettingsAdminFlows.exe" FeaturedResetPC and this supposedly gives the same functionality.
