Move from Microsoft Surfaces to another device or vice versa

Currently utilising Microsoft Surfaces in a 1:1 environment.

We are looking at other potential manufacturers as we approach a refresh in summer 2025 and wondered if anyone has moved away from Surfaces to something else, or indeed moved from something else to Surfaces and can share experience or reasonings?
