Smart display whiteboards and Pro Evo / Fifa

Ever since college (7-8 years ago now?) when I first saw those electronic whiteboards with "pens" you can draw on the display with virtually I've wanted to play a football game on one, just to taunt friends with pundit-style player circling int he replays and the like, not to mention the huge screen size.

 

 

so, 'fess up. It's summer. At least one of you has tried it, haven't you?

 

If so, how was it? Should I carry on dreaming of the day I can afford one at home, just to taunt my friends and rub their faces into that perfect through ball? Or is it over-rated?

 

Am I stupid, and not realising it just won't work for some reason? Other than friends hitting me / refusing to carry on playing, that is.

I've setup Wii's on the whiteboards and on our massive screen in one of our halls (for other people. mainly lunch time events) . It works quite well actually! I only got to have a quick go on tennis in the massive hall screen. Only problem with the wii is you can't go to far away from the sensor bar because it doesn't work quite as well (I'm guessing the remote can't see the IR light).

Why not get a wireless sensor bar? That way it can be set up halfway between where you want to play tennis and the screen itself?

I've setup my xbox on one of the smartboards in one of the IT rooms, little reward for a busy week at half terms

One of my mates bought a projector a few of years ago and used to bring it round to my flat for a pro evo tournament / champions league nights etc.

 

Not sure how good it would be trying to control the game by touching the smartboard if thats what u mean?

We took delivery of 4 whiteboards at my old school during holidays, ad installation was put off for 2 weeks, so we set them up in the hall side by side, and proceeded to play various LAN games with 3 other technicians! was an awesome sight!
