maksk Posted November 19, 2024 Posted November 19, 2024 Hello, I'm having issues with the CRB Cunninghams cashless catering system, and I'm wondering if anybody here can help. For the past few months, the catering service has been inexplicably crashing during break and lunch, requiring us to either restart the services or the whole VM. I'm saying "inexplicably" because the system will work fine for a couple weeks before having an episode of crashing every few days. We've managed to observe a crash through RDP once and the thing that puzzled us is the fact that both RAM and CPU usage were nowhere near half %, let alone maxing out the server. We've tried everything. We've tried changing the VM network adapter type, adding exceptions in the server's antivirus, we've even set up scheduled task to restart all the services 10 minutes before break. We've contacted Cunninghams multiple times about his and they haven't manged to get this fixed at all. But by far the single worst aspect of this is that there are no logs from the Cunninghams services when it crashes. Nothing in event viewer. Not even a single file in the "log" folder Does anyone know what might be going on here? Any ideas on how to remedy this? Any and all help appreciated
armadillo Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Hi, we are having the same issue as you did, it happens every 10 days or so; did you manage to fix it? Thanks
maksk Posted January 9, 2025 Author Posted January 9, 2025 Hi, sorry for not responding quicker and I hate to say that the issues are still going on for us. Cunninghams did try to re-initialise iDStore but that gave us only a brief respite. It's getting absolutely ridiculous now. We still have a grand total of zero logs and Cunninghams still has not identified the root cause issue. 1
armadillo Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 The tills crashed again this lunch time and I had to reboot the cashless server.
maksk Posted January 9, 2025 Author Posted January 9, 2025 Are there any other troubleshooting steps you've tried? We've tried everything we can think of and as I've mentioned we're at our wits' end.

Same here, we tried everything and nothing worked. I have the feeling it's to do with the software not keeping up with Windows updates!
