Danny11717 Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Hi, I was wondering if anyone has used Access control and knows how to help. I was using Access control last night because I needed to create a ID badge for someone becuase they lost theirs while at work. I then couldn't get the ID card programmed into the system and I decided to leave for the day and revisit this the next day. Well I came into the office today and I have discovered that the software has crashed and now I am unable to connect to the database AT ALL and this is incredibly fraustrating. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I have gone through accessing all the other pieces of software using the username and password that worked orginally and now this is not working at all and now it no longer wants to work.
broadld Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 What access control system do you use? We recently had an issue with Paxton Net2 where it would intermittently connect and then disconnect for some time. We troubleshooted it for a number of days and found it was Defender AV causing the issue. We added an exception to the on access scanning for the Net2 database and the issue instantly went away.
Danny11717 Posted November 14, 2024 Author Posted November 14, 2024 Hi @broadid it is literally called Access Control by Impro technology. They do provide a good cloud option but sadly I have recently joined so they are running the EOL version of the software. It is a SQL database though and I have worked with Paxton before which I think is way easier than Access control is but I am hanging in there for learning and getting it resolved.
PotNoodleTech Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Sounds like you need to put a support call in with impero? It is not one I am familiar with. I think most schools use paxton.
