Rename staff member in Staff Notebook (OneNote)

Hi

 

We have a number of staff whose names have changed and we need to update them in the Staff Notebook in Teams/OneNote. We can't find a way! It seems to pick their display name at the time of creation, and then never allows any changes, which seems ... stupid. Anyone have any ideas, please??

Your sure it’s display name and not container name?

 

There is the element of it can take a while for teams to catch up sometimes.

It took two weeks for teams to realise I had removed the avatar picture off several users

Thank you - it may well be the container name; however, we discovered late on Friday afternoon that, with certain permissions (still not sure which!) it is possible to rename them using OneNote itself, rather than any of its web derivatives or Teams displays. Maybe this will help someone else one day! And once I've found out what particular permission you need to do it, I'll update with that information as well!
