Rather random problem on my home PC.

Ever since I upgraded to a Samsung Oddysey G9 mini-LED monitor I've had weird intermittent blinking issues (where the screen will go black for half a second), in full screen applications (games and video playback).

It's never happened on the desktop or with the same programs windowed. And (of course) it's not happened why I try to screen record games to see if it's a monitor/cable thing or a system output thing. It seems to happen the same with regardless of HDR being on or off.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on or has seen something similar before?

I would suggest checking your display cable, updating your graphics driver and checking for any possible loose power connections. Beyond that in the display settings you may want to ensure the optimal refresh rate and graphics settings are selected. Finally, there may be interference from other devices (especially your mobile phone) so double check what devices are close to the equipment and possibly test moving the monitor to see if location is a factor. Thanks for the suggestions. Have replaced the cable, didn't seem to have any effect. I'm on the latest GPU drivers and the issue has persisted through several driver updates.

Yeah I've got gas-lift chair, but if it were something like that I wouldn't expect to see the issue more randomly across all PC usage. Even so, I'll have a play around with positioning and see what happens. I wonder if those ferrite cores would help if it is interference.
