Google shared document

Having an odd one here, one of our staff members has created a Google sheet and initially shared it with a few other members but now wants to restrict the permissions, but, when they go into the shared list, it shows the other members as editors and are greyed out and cannot be changed, it also doesn't list the original staff member as the owner in the list or even show up, also 2 of the members aren't greyed out and can be changed from editor. The Google sheet is located within the shared drives section, would this have any affect on the documents share options?

Yes the shared drive "owns" the document and the sharing settings follow the drive.

 

What permissions does the member of staff who wants to change the sharing settings have for the shared drive itself?
