SIMS Assessment reports never run

We have an issue when running Assessment > Individual reports where the job never completes (unless you only select < dozen or student students and you're lucky!)

 

It either bombs out with a Word error:

This is the latest build of SIMS, and Office 365 (August 2024 updates) running on 12 core/16gb machines so not a performance issue

 

We've tried exporting as a single PDF (crashes faster) or Word (pulsar crashes) - so I'm not sure what the issue is.The server itself is barely ticking over at the time

 

Anyone seen this type of issue before?

Has someone embedded school logo/header in the report - and is it 4k/FHD rather than penny/stamp sized?

Not this time! Its an existing report and the logo in it is less than 300kb

 

Just run the same report on a tech PC, and it worked, but the only difference is that it has 64gb ram (video editing etc) but surely 16gb is enough for this!

can you bring up task manager and look at RAM usage while it runs - is it in fact smashing through the RAM limit?

We're having the same issue. Weirdly it always runs successfully on my computer, but nobody elses in school.

 

Our MIS support company suggested it was a permissions issue, but I've ruled that out.

I have a distant, indistinct & possibly unhelpful memory of Assessment>Individual reports having an issue with Office 365 - there were issues of ancient parts of SIMS not being supported - possibly it will come to me in the middle of the night...
