foofighterjim Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Having a bit of a mental block with this issue. Scenario is: Windows 11 Education 23H2 devices Purely Intune managed Fast user switching disabled Interactive Logon Do Not Display Last Signed In - Enabled (username will not be shown) When the screen is locked there is no way to unlock without the password, in order to gain access the device needs to be restarted and it should boot back to the login screen (expected behavior). Except that this isn't happening, when the device is rebooted it boots back with the screen locked by the previous user, so there is no way to sign out of a locked screen without the previous users password. Combined with Microsoft hiding the sign out button behind the user details recently, this is going to cause issues. Has anyone seen this behavior before? My Google searching is just leading me in circles.
NegativeKillDeath Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Have a look at Windows Fast Startup and disable it if its on.
foofighterjim Posted October 4, 2024 Author Posted October 4, 2024 Thanks, I will have a look, I honestly thought that a Reboot ignored the Fast Staurtup process though, I thought it only applied to Shutdowns.
