Hi,

We keep having a problem with our new Win11 build where the taskbar keeps freezing. Has anyone seen this before or know what might be causing it?

Not noticed that with the taskbar specifically, but I've noticed that Explorer windows can hang painfully if Google Drive for Desktop is busy syncing. Something to do with a new underlying architecture of Explorer compared to Win10, and the context-sensitive UI elements (new toolbar options and right-click menus) not being able to draw promptly. Maybe check whether you have any similar file sync going on at the time things appear to freeze.

Also getting this; seems to be when the computer goes to sleep after it is locked.

Turning taskbar off on second monitor seems to have fixed it for me, but I have also known this issue to happen on computers with 1 display.

Could try removing co-pilot from taskbar and changing the taskbar search from Search box to Search icon and label.

No official fix from Microsoft, and if you look around on the internet, you'll find people with this issue going back several months :(
