Website Creation for Media Students

Good morning,

 

I'm sure like most schools our Media department needs students to create websites, it would seem historically this school has used one Wix but I'm wondering how others go about this.

 

I'm particularly thinking about a platform whereby the HoD could have an administrator-type account and enable\disable student logons as and when they are allowed to work on it.

It's a while since I've used it but Wordpress multisite might be a good option, in terms of a HoD having oversight of all student websites.
