dmason2 Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Hi All, We've reimaged most of the pcs round college and some, not all PCs, they're getting the window settings up for work or school when logging in for the first time, these are PCs which are on our network through MCM. Is there a GPO to do this or a registry key that can be deleted to stop this happening for first time login Many Thanks
mjhardisty Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 First sign-ins will usually take some time to build a local profile. I think the GPO you need is https://admx.help/?Category=Windows_10_2016&Policy=Microsoft.Policies.WindowsLogon::EnableFirstLogonAnimation
thimon Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Yeah about 20 - 30 seconds max for first sign in, quicker for logins afterwards. Never found that disabling the first sign in animation sped things up, was just left with a black screen for the same amount of time.
