The Speed of Light - 30 mph!!!

Just found this

 

They managed to slow light down to 30 mph

then some otehr people stopped it completely

 

 

then allowed it on its way again

 

Mind Boggling!

Now we just have to persuade the Americans to use SI units and not bloomin' degrees F!!!!!!

 

P.S. pretty sure this isn;t a spoof - but from what I know about light it does seem like it - but apparently not!!!

Doesn't appeart to be a spoof, but does appear to be 23 years old!

The interesting thing will be to see how much of this research has carried forward into current quantum computing.
