CANVA Education for Trusts registration issue

Anyone in a Trust managed to get registered for Canva so all their schools can use it or does each school have to register individually? We are registered at Trust level but as each school is a sub domain in our Google tenancy attempts to register the schools was rejected by Canva with the reason that the Trust is already registered. Not sure how they knew the each school was a sub domain of our main Google domain!

We set it up as a Trust. We have one Google Workspace setup and 28 schools. I registered as a Trust and then we when through the setup processes. I had to give them all of our domains, verify ownership. We use a dynamic group for each school so Canva knows which school they belong to and then a custom attribute in Google to indicate if a user is staff of students. Took a bit of doing - but has just worked since initial setup over a year ago. Worth doing as its very popular and gets a lot of use.

I did the SSO integration with Canva at our place and abou to turn on SSO required. Have held back as Canva stated anyone using canva with your domain will have their projects removed. Turns out this is not the case

 

I didn't need to put all our subdomains in though, i had to register with our trust domain and Canva support helped the rest od the way.

 

We use Google as our SSO provider too.

 

I have got Groups sets up for each school / subdomain, teachers and students and students are identified by the number / intake year at the start of their email.
