Olliedawg Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) Updated to Veeam B&R v12 last week, all gone super well. Noticed today that i've been getting Malware Detections for the following <61> Warning (3) SERVERNAME:3862cf02-7a7a-413c-b5f2-b7fb0a283f9e:c:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\data\Repo\.purge I'm running scans on the affected machines. From what i've looked up online on a Veeam forum, people are recommending adding that path to an exception. Just wondering if anyone else on here has come across this. I panicked a bit when I first saw it! potential malware activity detected: *.purge(Globe):1 | Veeam Community Resource Hub Edited July 15, 2024 by Olliedawg
Steve21 Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 I think it's just the filetype/name, which Veeam version patch are you running as I'm sure there was another update recently to remove the .purge flagging up but if you only did the main update it might not include the smaller patches Steve

Seems I am not alone & is affecting other Sophos/Veeam users
