PowerPoint hangs and crashes when pasting data from Excel

Hi All,

 

Does anyone else get this issue where PowerPoint hangs and crashes when pasting data from Excel. It works fine when the user paste the data table from Excel to Word then to PowerPoint, but not directly into PowerPoint. We are using Microsoft Office 2021, tried doing few simple procedures and checks like doing Window Updates, updating Office to the latest version, reinstalling Office - still no joy. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Couple of things -

 

Can you test and see if running as admin allows you to copy paste?.

 

Try restarting the print spooler.

 

Try clearing the office cache (this persists between installs).

 

Try ticking (or unticking) file - options - advanced - general - ignore other applications that use DDE.
