If the power spikes though won't the external PSU be affected to or are you running it off a separate circuit or ups?
strawberry Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 ideally it wouldn't even be switched on, the idea is to mirror the harddrive overnight once a week then turn off the power to the hdd.
