Olliedawg Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Situation : User A is currently temporarily suspended. User A has a Microsoft form setup which was sent out to parents, gathering data regarding to new Y7's. We now need to see the responses to this form. User B needs to access this form, however the form was not shared with anyone/stored in a group, and resides solely on User A's SharePoint/OneDrive (wherever forms are stored..) How can I delegate access to User B to view responses to this form? I know I can reset the password to the user account & delegate access this way, however I don't want to do this unless its a last resort.
willtech Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 (edited) Need to go on user A's account and delegate: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/share-a-form-or-quiz-to-collaborate-d5bb5cf0-8401-4c15-bb8c-8e108cd7e69b I believe this is the only way. Edited June 11, 2024 by willtech 1
robintech Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-forms/admin-information Without password might be possible to disable the account, remove Forms related licences and transfer ownership to a Group preferably, then share it back to the original user so they have access, enable account, give back licences. Might take a few hours for Microsoft servers to catch up. 1
Olliedawg Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 Thanks both - I think i'll go down the password route if OK with SLT.. otherwise i'll try the other method!
andy_b Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 With a disabled account you can do it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-forms/admin-information#form-ownership-transfer Submitted too late 1
jmak Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Also too late for this time, but something we continually push: Almost nothing should be in users' OneDrives. Anything that anyone other than the creator might need should be in SharePoint (or Teams if that's your bag). I'm this case: how often do people create Forms where the only person interested in the responses is the form creator?
