AlphaMountain a9 Web Protection Chrome Extension

Has anyone had any experience of this web filtering extension on Chrome and Chrome OS? Seems to work very well, and does a lot for a free extension. Wonder what the catch is?

Hmm free web filtering. Immediately I recon they got to be getting something valuable out of you. I mean the catch could possibly be it's data harvesting all your web traffic if your allowing it to access everything in chrome?

 

Generally you don't get anything in life for free! Happy to be proven wrong.

Can't see anything in their terms about data harvesting. However, they do seem to offer a lot of other paid software.

The data harvesting bit won't be in terms and conditions to be honest it'll just be something that gets done in the background.
