Plagiarism Checker with AI Checker - Microsoft Teams

Hi,

 

We are moving away from Google Classroom and moving to Microsoft Teams this Summer. We are a large secondary School therefore we are having issues with students who do coursework subjects using AI to write there essays and the exam board catches them out.

 

Can anyone recommend any software they use which ideally integrates into Microsoft Teams that checks for AI and plagiarism.

The AI checkers are not accurate last time I looked. You can feed in famous bits of writing into them and they will falsely say its AI written. There might be working ones, just none that I have seen.

Hello, I was asking our software team and they have advised the following,

I believe the Plagiarism concerns you are thinking of is part of co-pilot which they could be not allocated to the students should they not wish to as i do understand it creates issues with ease of self built responses. Microsoft do have a brand new product if they needed this

They do have Simularity Checker built into word but it is known to be having a few issues at the moment - the below can show known issues

There are products that merge with Teams that will allow for a deeper check

 

Turnitin (seems to be a 3rd party company so licenses will be required ) is available to work with Microsoft Teams for built-in similarity checks on student assignments. This option streamlines the grading process, while reinforcing to students the importance of creating authentic work.

 

But we do appreciate that their is a whole array of online tools that students can use outside of your infrastructure.

not been asked to impliment it yet but turnitin seems to be the UK prefered Plagiarism/AI checker service https://www.turnitin.co.uk/solutions/topics/ai-writing/ i do beleve microsoft have some tools in the works but never seen a date yet for when they will be ready. turn it in were offering a discount so may be worth a email to see on pricing as it is very easy to intergrate with teams assignments etc..
