[sims] Admissions/SIMS - End of Year/New Year Processes

Just wanted to have an ask around re the admissions and year end/new year process. Especially if anyone has any experience or knowledge around primaries.

 

Looking to get myself familiar with it, for a time have to sub in for a large part of things. Must admit I'm pretty much at square 1 though we are rolling out Applicaa Admissions+ which is, to be honest, a great improvement over what I've seen us doing before.

 

I'm largely looking to take on the SIMS side of things (which is, aside from contacting parents and applicants about MOST of it) but really in need of the basics. It is a larger beast than I thought.

 

Is there a half decent flow-chart or checklist anyone knows of (or could even put together) which would assist with preparing for the new intake and the new year?

 

Thanks all if so. For various reasons we don't have a data person and I am keen to adopt this, with a view to passing on a better (actual) procedure sometime.
