WSUS Win 11 22H2 to Win 11 23H2

We have clients running windows 11 22H2 currently and apply the monthly updates.

I'm trying to upgrade them all to 23H2 and understand that enablement packages no longer exist but update via the version in WSUS.

I have approved update Windows 11 23H2 2024-04B however when look at how many computers require the update it doesnt show all the machines.

Please could someone advise how I update the machines using WSUS?

I don't know why the machines wont detect the update is required when they are current only 22H2 with the April 2024 cumulative update - 22621.3447

Could anyone assist/shed some light on this?

I have heard 23H2 is still being blocked because of some drivers/software but I cant recall if it was fixed or not.

If the computers have intel smart sound drivers they may have been blocked from upgrading until yesterday.

I have 2 different models. My day to day workstation updated to 23H2 some time ago as I check for updates online rather than doing through WSUS so can test the latest updates first and that had no issues since so unsure why the other same machines in WSUS wont detect the update.

 

I did manually find/run the 23H2 enablement package and then WSUS checked in and found the April update for 23H2 so will either have to do the enablement manually or just wait a bit longer and see if it sorts itself out!
