Annoyed. Having excitedly binned WSUS a while back in favour of WUfB for clients and Azure Update Manager for servers, I've now been stung by surprise pricing for Azure Update Manager. It was free all the way up until February, when it suddenly became $5 per month for on-prem servers. Turns out that it was free during its preview phase, but now isn't. Thanks Microsoft.

Our servers are still all on-prem, so time to ditch Azure Update Manager for now :(

For Arc-enabled servers, Azure Update Manager is charged at a daily prorated value of £0.128/server/day which amounts to £3.943/server/month (assuming 31 days of connected usage). A machine enabled by Azure Arc would only be charged for days when it’s connected to Arc and managed by Azure Update Manager.

I was looking at this just the other day.
