Powerpoint Videos blocked by Intune?

Hi, new to the forum!

 

Was pointed in this direction after struggling to find a solution elsewhere.

 

I work at a school where all of the teachers uses different models of Microsoft Surface Pros (between 6-9). Teachers with more recent devices have had them set up via Intune, wheras teachers with older devices (6/7) had theirs set up manually. There is a mix of the surface pro 7s which have been set up via intune and some set up manually by a technician.

 

Recently we have noticed that devices set up via intune have an issue where they refuse to play linked youtube videos. We have made sure we are using the correct embedded link to the video and that macros are enabled in Powerpoint. We have no issue playing the linked videos via the non Intune devices, and we are able to use the web browser version of powerpoint, but the teachers don't seem to like using the online version.
