Hello all,

We have been using D-Link CCTV cameras (I know, but they worked well) however it seems they are now discontinued. Can anyone recommend a budget-friendly brand which is in stock? Looking at £2-300 for an outdoor camera.

Thanks

Hikvision would sit well in that price range, probably less. I know everyone has a bit of an opinion on the Chinese brands, with the correct precautions taken I think they're OK and are pretty robustly built.

Hanwha is another we've installed for those customers that want something similarly priced but not Chinese.

Bosch, Axis, Mobotix, Pelco etc. all tend to be quite pricey.

Depends on your NVR and what it can do -

We've bought bottom of the barrel recently, and they only work through RSTP

Still - As above if precautions are taken and they can't communicate with the outside world any old camera will usually do

UniFi cameras (G3 model) seem to have come down in price. Cheap and cheerful but easy to manage ?

Since the newer firmware you have to use a UNIFI NVR, which we have found to be... problematic
