ICT Consultant Support (North of England) – £28k - £35k + private health + pension

We are looking for skilled Network Managers, Senior Technicians or IT Project Managers who want an upstream career path and can grow into a full-blown ICT Consultant role within the next 12 to 18 months

We are continuing to grow and expand, particularly following our appointment to various Crown Commercial Services (CCS) frameworks and are recruiting people who have the skills and experience of working in a technical solutions development role ideally in one of the following areas:

 

 

• Network Infrastructure
  
• Wireless Networks
  
• Cabling Infrastructure
  
• Server, Storage and Cloud Solutions with virtualisation technology
  
• End-user device refresh cycles.

In this role the successful candidate will work from home, when not attending meetings at client/project sites and shadowing and supporting our ICT Consultants

 

All of our Consultant team at Nexus Associates have a strong background working in education environments. We know schools inside out and understand the unique and diverse methods in which schools utilise ICT and the demands that this places on support services, infrastructure, software and hardware. Therefore, we are really interested in speaking with school Network Managers, IT Managers or Senior IT Engineers that are looking for that next step in their career journey.

The role will require the successful candidate to support our ICT Consultants who work alongside construction partners, design team members, school teams and a range of other stakeholders, providing expert technical and functional advice on a range of ICT solutions, often requiring the output to be captured in detailed reports and specification documents:

This role will suit someone who has been working as a Senior Engineer, Senior IT Technician, Project Manager or Network Manager and wishes to broaden their skill set, ideally with knowledge of the education sector. Working for Nexus Associates you will get to experience an extensive range of industries as we interface with professionals from Design, Construction, Engineering, Educational and Technology backgrounds all blending into an efficient delivery team to meet our client’s aspirations.

We will provide you with a salary, work related expenses, and wider benefits that underpin the importance of our staff. You will receive training to receive accreditations to allow you to visit, survey and support our work in construction. This will include a suite of training and development to provide you with the competencies to undertake the role and coordinate installations on live construction sites including SSSTS, CSCS, Manual Handling and first aid as a minimum. We will also provide and work with our partners on regular technical updates on products from leading industry vendors.
