[sims] Creating a study room in Nova-T which accepts students from different year groups

Some of our students do not follow the full curriculum. They have study periods in the school library whilst their peers continue with their lessons.

 

Is it possible to create a lesson in Nova-T where students from different year groups could all access the library and appear on the SIMS register? We want to be able to use the cover facility in SIMS to cover the sessions - will this work without allocating a named teacher?

to cover it you're gonna find it easier with a teacher - nothing to stop you having a fake teacher - we're running about 10 of them currently!

 

provided you tick "do not include in census" they won't cause any major issues.

 

multiple year groups assigned to a class is easy - don't worry too much about nova - you can timetable the kids into the class once it's scheduled using the "relax" option to ignore band restrictions.
