DavidS Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Our sixth-formers have study periods. These are added to the option blocks on the model in Nova -T and they appear on student timetables in SIMS. These sessions are not supervised, however they appear on the SIMS register. This means that students appear to be absent because they can't be marked in. If I remove the study periods from the model blocks on Nova-T what impact will this have?
bobsmith Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 they will have "free" periods where they still can't be marked because they aren't on a register. ignore the computer for a minute - where are the kids at these times? That should inform how they are marked. We created a physical private study room and staffed it because it made safeguarding and educational sense - problem resolved.
