Hey everyone

On Thursday I’m hosting a Copilot for education introduction webinar.

You can sign up for free at http://www.concero.education/events

The online sign up page closes tomorrow PM, but if you want the link after this just drop me a DM and I’ll share the link :)

Sorry for the late notice - we will also be uploading it afterwards. There are some future events on the page as well, all free and open to everyone.

Thanks :)

So this is something that I will be covering, because copilot (formally Bing Chat) is included in A3 and A5 for faculty.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is $30 per person, which does present barriers, but is it needed for everyone in addition to Copilot? I don’t think so.

Isn’t it a minimum count of 300 users though?

Setup guide in the admin centre mentions the the requirement for a minimum of 300 licenses

I’d very much doubt anyone is ready to roll it out (Copilot for Microsoft 365, not copilot) as Microsoft are only just doing it themselves https://www.microsoft.com/insidetrack/blog/deploying-copilot-for-microsoft-365-internally-at-microsoft/

It has been, and is being used, by some, as evidenced by our very own @Roberto.

Getting the difference between copilot and and copilot for M365 out there would definitely be a good idea because of exactly this confusion.

I find copliot/Bing Chat really useful. I just wish they removed the 4000 character and 30 reply limits, these really limit it's practical use. Also the fact that the "chats" aren't persistent is a real downside versus GTP-4.

I had it explained to me at an event recently, the reason why full copilot will be so expensive is because they will essentially train the LLM on your M365 estate. This is needed so that all of this cross application functionality and context driven AI they are talking about is possible. This takes a huge amount of resources.
