Hi all,

Mods feel free to move if not in correct place.

We have a iPecs system and want to move some voicemails to email inboxes, because this uses basic authentication we think we need an smtp server to do this. does anyone have this setup and can you advise?

microsoft only school here?

Are you still struggling with this? I've contacted my phone support company and they have given me access to the VM email section of the phone system. I've been able to test out email notifications from our phone system to emails and I can say it works. Okay, we are with Google but i've had to set the email account the emails are sent from to have 2FA enabled and then set an Google App Password for this to work.

I'm pretty sure if i had set the Google account to use Less Secure Apps option to enabled, this would have worked too but protecting the email account with 2FA and using a Google App Password seemed like the secure route to me.

I've just tested our iPECS system with my own hotmail.co.uk account and i've got a test email through.

I had to disable 2FA on the hotmail account though to get it working as Outlook / Hotmail doesn't have the Less Secure Apps option for personal accounts.
