Exa SurfProtect Quantum+ (Quantum Plus)

Hi,

 

Is anybody using the Exa Quantum+ filtering platform? A the moment we have Quantum standard but monitoring iPads isn't great as the device internal IP is not logged. Just wondering if anybody had any experience with Quantum+ that they might want to share? How well did the deployment go? Does it do everything you want it to? Are you able to efficiently trace filtering alerts down to a device / user? How do the children cope with signing on to the captive portal for iPads etc? Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated - good or bad!

Just to say I'm having the same issue with Quantum Plus. It works fine but only for a couple of minutes before logging out, users then being presented with the Captive Portal again to sign back in. It is supposed to keep them signed in for 1 hour (unless they manually sign out). This is causing all sorts of issues, the biggest for staff seems to be completing safeguarding forms as they spend a few minutes filling in the form, only for it not to submit because they've been signed out of Quantum+.

 

I'm pretty sure the issue has something to do with Safari's cross-site tracking or similar but I have turned off 'Prevent Cross-Site Tracking' and also 'Hide IP Address' and that doesn't seem to have made any difference. Please do let me know if you find a solution! I will do too, I'm also currently in conversation with Exa support.

I would be happy to discuss Exa's Quantum+ offering in more detail and how it differs to our standard Quantum filtering solution, in particular with the monitoring of iPads as I know this is a difficult challenge to overcome for many schools. I can confirm SurfProtect Quantum+ can monitor the use of iPads via the captive portal and if interested I can arrange a demo for you to see how SurfProtect Quantum+ achieves this.
