Hi all,

We need to start replacing our aging Prowise touchscreen TV's with built in PC module.

I'm after something similar, touch screen, 75", with a PC module builtin. (Standard spec for a classroom system, Windows, 8-16GB RAM, SSD).

What would you all recommend?

Many thanks.

We have Promethean Nickel 65/75's throughout the school... as ActivInspire has our teachers in a chokehold

They've recently launched the ActivPanel LX budget option, 75" will set you back £1179. Looks like a very good price, I'm imagining we'll go down this route on our next couple of board upgrades!

Running on Stone PC Lite Desktops.

Newline are nice boards at a good price. I've installed a couple. The only complaint so far is the supplied pen is a bit naff.

Samsung apparently are trying to push into the sector so offering cut prices for their boards, so ask around.

Clevertouch seem to be nice boards.

We've got a few BenQ RE75 and RM75 models around, though they've now discontinued the mid-range RM series. We've had a demo unit of a Newline 75" TV, which looked pretty promising. It's slightly cheaper (or there or thereabouts) than the RM RE series and includes built-in Wi-Fi and physical buttons on the TV, which the BenQ doesn't have and runs a newer version of Android. Like BenQ, they seem to be targeting the development towards education, in terms of features, apps and support (including training).

BenQ RE models all carry an OPS slot so you can add any OPS computer of your choice. There's many suppliers out there, we have done this in a few rooms using Very PC OPS modules.

We just added wireless mice/keyboards and it has been the perfect setup in a few rooms.

Hi Sonic007,

At BenQ we have 2 ranges RE & RP series, available in 65", 75", 86" and the RE in 98", both with Android built in (though you can hide this), both featuring FOC cloud management services and a 5 year warranty (upon registration). Both types of screen have an OPS slot, which is a Universal slot for OPS PCs. We do sell our own, but because they are universal you can source them from anywhere at any spec; this also means that when time comes for the PC to be upgraded if the panel is still functioning well, you can just replace the slot in PC.
