I used to be able to recover students deleted files by logging into 365 admin and creating a linking to access their files. This still works and I can see the students files and folders. Since Microsoft made changes I can no longer see or get access to the recycle and backup recycle bins. How can I restore files when the students have deleted their important coursework?

Have now been able to restore file View 5 worked. I can also switch back to classic view. Yes we backup 365 but much quicker to get access to their recycle or second stage bin :D

The Users themselves still see the Recycle bin in their OneDrive view, so can always "educate" the students on how to restore their own files ;)

Created an account to say thank you. I can't believe how difficult it was to find this information!

?view=5 for recycle bin

?view=13 for backup recycle bin

MS have "hidden" the option to get to the users recycle bin from the GUI, however if you update the URL to change it from ?view=1 to ?view=5, you will see their deleted files

Still works, and saved me today. Muchas gracias!
