Intune Android help

Hello,

I've been toying with deploying Android devices in kiosk mode via Intune and to my surprise, it was going well until I tried to deploy phone or contact apps.

 

-The inbuilt apps won't open.

-I have deployed the Google phone and contacts app and the contacts closes and claim its missing permission while the phone one opens but claims its not the default.

 

In settings, both the inbuilt Samsung and the Google apps have permissions and have played giving each of them default but I can't get them to work.

 

Any pointers on how to centrally set the permissions? I have App configuration policies which are applying but they don't control default, only access to contacts, messaging etc...
