Barracuda Backup wildecard search

Hi,

 

I've been asked to retrieve from backup, all emails between two former members of staff within a set time period. We use Barracuda cloud2cloud backup on our Office 365 tenancy.

I can use the filtering to set the recipient, sender and date period, but I can't do a search without a search term. Does anyone know if Barracuda search supports wildcards? Or if there's another way to do this?

It may be easier to do an eDiscovery in 365 instead of pulling this from backups, I think it's in the compliance center now (they keep moving it!). That's what I use for investigations.

Does that still work when the accounts are deleted/unlicensed?

I think it would depend on how much time has passed since they were deleted/unlicensed - can't hurt to try

Not too sure if you use the Barracuda Email Archiver, but within the cloud control portal you can use that for emails between two people and filter by date etc:)
