SIMS Report - Expected Leaving Year

Hi,

 

I'm trying to product a report (csv) from SIMS for Unifrog. I have all the required fields now but one field I cannot automatically populate so wondering if such a field actually exists in SIMS.

 

Unifrog require a field to be populated with the Leaving Year of the student so for example a Year 9 student will leave in Year 11 and the required Leaving Date field would be '2026' for Unifrog.

 

I can see many Leaving Date fields in the reports but these usually relate to if the student has actually left the school.

 

I have previously calculated this field using excel formula to manipulate the leaving date from their email address as this has the two digit leaving year in but ideally I would like the Careers staff to be able to run this report as and when and upload to Unifrog without having to involve IT Support.

I don't believe there is such a field - the leaving date is only populated if the pupil is taken off-roll.

If you need it in SIMS you would have to put in a UDF for projected year of leaving or similar, or create an assessment aspect you can populate and report on.

Just include the current year group field in the report, then have careers sort by that field and copy/paste down, so Year 7 end date is 2026 (or 2028 if you have sixth form) - no need to calculate it per-user from their email/adno.
